We are currently hiring a full-time Production Administration and Inventory Support position for one of our clients & Canada’s largest flower importers, located near the Eglinton Avenue and Dixie Road area in Mississauga.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide high quality administrative support on the development and preparation of organization charts, reports, communication and correspondence, spreadsheets, Power Point presentations, etc.
Provide administrative support for the Production Manager including but not limited to e-mail (including monitoring of priority emails), prompt handling of special order requests, voicemail, daily payroll updates, cell-phone and other requests as necessary
Ongoing maintenance of all tracking databases and folders related to the functions of production department:
Content keeping and accuracy of the complete inventory database: maintain accuracy of item master record – Description, UOM, Product Group/Category, Posting Group, Min/Max, cross-references;
Problem-solving for inventory discrepancies, including communications with other departments’ item reconciliation and any investigative techniques to expedite resolution;
Perform inventory adjustments, including consumables, inventory transfers, quantity adjustments, etc.
Compiles monthly departmental measures/reports
Maintains training records and follows up on training status
Performs additional related duties as assigned by the Manager
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:
Previous hands-on experience in inventory database administration
Demonstrated experience managing multi-SKU physical inventory
Proven leadership, problem solving and team building skills
Expert in Excel, Word, other Microsoft Office Programs
Creative thinker with “out of the box” solutions
Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and group presentation skills)
Must have intermediate to advance systems knowledge including Microsoft Office
University/college education preferred
Flexible to work various shifts including Sundays to Thursdays.
HOURS: Monday to Friday with occasional weekends, 7:00am – 4:00pm
ANTICIPATED START: As soon as possible
WAGE/SALARY: $40,000-$46,000 annually, depending on experience
